We are back on our usual Monday's appointment with Simona Re and her advice on make-up.

 I often watch people, Simona says, and the make-up that they wear. Sometimes I come across masks that hide faces, rather than tricks that enhance facial features, and why not, even imperfection that maturity gives us. The mature skin must be treated with a lot of attention. Before starting with the make-up it is important to prepare the skin, so today we will focus on the base.

The password is: lighten it up!

After a good cleansing and moisturizing session, you have to apply on your face a basic lifting and lightening cream and then move to the drafting of the foundation which must be fluid or in cream. Applying the foundation in small quantities and spreading it out very well is the best thing you can do; it has the power to cover any discoloration of the skin much better than any fluids. Then you can apply a thin layer, perhaps a tone clearer, close to the eyes that are a very delicate area. We also have to apply a corrective cream in small quantities to lighten up dark circles remembering to use the right colour to contrast the purple or blue or red signs of fatigue and stress! Let's also lighten up the area above the cheekbone and apply a cream blush pink. Finally fix everything with a light dust of powder with a brush. At this point we are ready to proceed to the eyes and lips' make-up.
